میناوند در عرصه مربیگری خیلی فعالیت نکرد و فقط دو سال در خونه‌به‌خونه و یک سال هم در سپیدرود رشت حضور داشت.

به گزارش پایگاه خبری عصرآشنا مهرداد میناوند (زاده ۹ آذر ۱۳۵۴ تهران) بازیکن سابق تیم ملی فوتبال ایران است. وی برای باشگاه‌های مختلفی از جمله پرسپولیس، اشتورم گراتس، الشباب و سپاهان بازی کرده‌است. با پرسپولیس در سال ۱۳۷۶ قهرمان لیگ ایران شده‌است و با اشتروم گراتس ۱ قهرمانی در لیگ اتریش، ۱ قهرمانی در جام حذفی اتریش، ۲ قهرمانی در سوپرجام اتریش و ۲ سال حضور پیاپی در لیگ قهرمانان اروپا را تجربه کرده‌است. تعداد بازی‌های او در لیگ قهرمانان اروپا ۱۰ بازی می‌باشد.

میناوند متولد سال ۱۳۵۴ بود و طی سال‌های ۱۳۷۵ تا ۱۳۸۲، ۷۵ بار پیراهن تیم ملی فوتبال ایران را بر تن کرد.

این مدافع چپ فوتبال ایران سال ۱۳۷۴ از پاس به #پرسپولیس آمد و در ۳ سال حضورش ۸۹ بار با پیراهن این تیم بازی کرد و ۱۳گل به ثمر رساند.

او در ادامه به اشتورم گراتس اتریش ترانسفر شد و طی ۳ سال ۶۷بازی هم برای این تیم انجام داد.

میناوند در ادامه برای شارلوا بلژیک و الشباب امارات بازی کرد و دوباره در سال ۱۳۸۲ به پرسپولیس بازگشت و پیراهن تیم محبوب خود را برتن کرد.

دوره دوم حضورش در پرسپولیس فقط یک سال طول کشیده و در ادامه این مدافع چپ پا راهی سپاهان و راه‌آهن شد و در سال ۱۳۸۴ از فوتبال خداحافظی کرد.
